Casamigos Tequila Añejo

Launched in 2013, Casamigos is a tequila brand that was founded by George Clooney who is a popular American actor, Mike Meldman, a property developer, and Rande Gerber, a nightlife entrepreneur. When George Clooney and his close friend Rande Gerber started building their holiday homes next to each other, they spent their free time sampling tequilas. This is when Clooney gave a suggestion for them to create their own brand of tequila, and they began an adventure. At first, the Casamigos was supposed to be a private creation, but when it came out the public absolutely loved it.

The name Casamigos comes from two Spanish words, 'casa' which means house, and 'amigos' which means friends. The goal of creating Casamigos was to create a tequila that has a different finish, compared to other tequilas, a smoother one. This is why Casamigo's tequilas do not only have exceptional taste; their finish is smooth and silky. Currently, you can find four different tequila offers from Casamigos, and one of their exceptional aged tequilas is the Casamigos Tequila Añejo.

Created from 100% Blue Weber agaves, that are aged from seven to nine years on rich clay soil, Casamigos Tequila Añejo is hands down one of the best-aged tequila you will ever try. The Casamigos agave piñas are roasted for 72 hours in the traditional brick ovens and then fermented for 80h, which is what gives Casamigos Tequilas that special flavor. Casamigos Tequila Añejo has a rich caramel color and is bottled in their classic glass bottle with a black label.

It has a nice combination of soft vanilla and caramel aroma. Casamigos Tequila Añejo offers a great balance of sweetness from the finest agaves, together with hints of barrel oak and spices.  Is aged for fourteen months in premium American white oak barrels, and is made with purified water from their own well. Casamigos Tequila Añejo definitely has a flavor that you will enjoy, even if you are not the biggest tequila-lover.
